The forecaster on duty at the SIDC produces each day (nominal issue time 12:30UT) a forecast of the F10.7 radio flux as it is expected to be observed over the next 3 days (the day of issue included). The forecast is based on a combination of statistical techniques and expert judgment on the evolution of active regions on the solar disk including regions rotating onto or off the disk.
